Fuego Del Sol had been sidelined since February with a foot injury that he suffered at SPW’s ‘Haters Gonna Hate’ event, where it was later determined that he fractured his foot in five places.
The recovery time was set to take at least six weeks. The good news is that he returned to the ring at VIP’s ‘Wrestling Catch These Hands’ event on June 23. At the show, he faced Matt Sydal.
As we previously reported here on eWn, Fuego Del Sol is slated to become a free agent on July 1 as AEW has decided to not renew his deal.
4 Months… 4 long months of surgeries, doctor visits, rehab, and a ton of deep introspection, all culminating in my return to the ring last night!
