FTR, previously known as Rated FTR has disbanded, leaving Cope potentially sidelined for the unidentified future due to an incident at AEW Dynasty.

There has been a steady build-up of strain within the faction recently, especially with Dax Harwood showing discontent towards both “The Rated-R Superstar” Cope and Cash Wheeler. He expressed disappointment at their ongoing unsuccessful attempts and apparent lack of concentration on reclaiming the AEW World Tag Team Championship.

In a bid to change the tide, Cope recommended competing for the AEW World Trios Championship. This led to a clash against The Death Riders – a team comprising of Claudio Castagnoli, PAC, and Wheeler Yuta – at the pay-per-view event. In the aftermath of their defeat, marked by Yuta’s Busaiko Knee pinfall, Harwood was pulled to his feet by Cope and Cash. He then quickly opted to channel his irritation through a piledriver move on Cope.

Escalating matters, Harwood brought a chair into the ring, positioning Wheeler as a potential peacemaker. In an unexpected turn, Wheeler joined Harwood in executing a Shatter Machine, and further incapacitating Cope with a con-chair-to.

They then proceeded to scorn the medical staff and made light of Cope’s neck injuries before nonchalantly exiting the ring as Cope was stretchered away.

The tweet from All Elite Wrestling that read –

Whether this dramatic action was designed to sideline Cope indefinitely or it was merely a plotline to illustrate the FTR’s breakup with an evil twist is yet to be determined.
