Freddie Prinze Jr. – ‘LA Knight Should Be Fighting Austin Theory’

On the latest edition of his “Wrestling With Freddie” podcast, Freddie Prinze Jr. expressed his disappointment in LA Knight competing in the Slim Jim Battle Royal at WWE SummerSlam 2023.

Although Knight won the battle royal, Prinze Jr. stated that the former Impact Wrestling star was too big for such a match.

According to Freddie, Knight should be feuding with Austin Theory for the WWE United States Championship.

On Knight winning the Slim Jim Battle Royal: “To me, he’s bigger and better than this. Yes, he should have won it, and it shouldn’t be a surprise — but he should have been in a better storyline period. I don’t know — it was a cool match … they were able to tell three or four storylines, so don’t get me wrong, I just didn’t think LA Knight needed this win.”

On who he thinks Knight should be feuding with: “I would rather see him beating up Austin Theory for the United States Championship.”
