Former WWE scripting expert, Freddie Prinze Jr., has expressed his agreement with the decision of moving Solo Sikoa to the front seat, as the successor to Roman Reigns in the Bloodline.

Reigns, after his defeat at WrestleMania 40, has stepped away from the leadership role and Sikoa has since taken up the mantle. Adding more suspense to the storyline, Sikoa even asserts that Roman is not returning.

During his recent “Wrestling with Freddie” podcast, Prinze Jr. shared his thoughts on why Sikoa replacing Reigns makes for an interesting narrative. He remarked,

“The role that Solo Sikoa plays can’t exactly be called a protagonist, but consider this: Roman exited the scene, he lost his title and retreated. I am not certain if he is pursuing his film career, or if this exit is just a part of the storyline, but looking from the Solo Sikoa’s perspective, it’s absolutely accurate — Roman quit. ‘The Head of the Table’ has abdicated… For him to don the necklace now and gain recognition from these formidable figures… they’ve initiated something novel here, and they’ve done it in no time.”

Furthermore, Sikoa is set to challenge the Uncontested WWE Universal Champion, Cody Rhodes, at SummerSlam 2024. Prinze Jr. expressed his keen interest in this match-up, stating,

“There is a possibility that Solo Sikoa could seize the world championship title, becoming the Universal Champion, and Cody would be confronted with the Bloodline yet again. The only plausible scenario for him to lose is if Roman makes a comeback immediately after the loss, and says, ‘No way, man. I warned you. Don’t mess with him because you’re not ready. Your loss has brought us discredit, I’m the Tribal Chief.’

“Then a new narrative can be developed around the face-off between the two, with no need to sweat over the Universal Championship for Roman and Solo as it now becomes a battle between two factions in the Bloodline. But there is a very real chance that Solo could emerge as the Universal Champion… It’s not a sure shot, but it is certainly a possibility.”

Contrary to Sikoa’s claims, the rumour mill suggests that the return of Reigns to the WWE TV is on the cards, with speculations rife that he may reappear at SummerSlam scheduled for August 3.
