Vince Russo, Jonathan Coachman, Maven, and Charly Arnolt have expressed their disbelief that Vince McMahon will ever make a comeback to WWE.
As already known, McMahon stepped down from his position in the company after facing a sexual assault and trafficking lawsuit launched by Janel Grant in January.
In a new episode of “Piers Morgan Uncensored”, Phil Mushnick conveyed his sentiment that McMahon will always maintain his influence in WWE. However, the rest of the panelists on the show didn’t concur with this perspective.
Few noteworthy points shared by the panelists are discussed below:
Arnolt gave her thoughts on McMahon’s departure from WWE saying, “A group of individuals who have never been truly involved in the wrestling universe are now in charge. With [Nick] Khan at the helm of WWE, the recent acquisition of WWE by UFC, and the ownership of both by TKO Group, the direction they are headed is undeniably different, leaning heavily towards entertainment. It’s a significant shift from the traditional norms.”
Coachman aired his views on life in WWE post-McMahon, stating, “We are not here to advocate for Vince. We are here to uphold the strength of the industry, and the good people working in it. Offering a sweeping negative perspective is severely myopic, particularly when we take into account the exemplary individuals who have been part of this industry over the past 25 years. Vince’s chapter is closed. His return is not anticipated, nor is it required, given the solutions implemented to rectify the issues we all encountered during our time with WWE.”
Maven shared his feelings on McMahon’s departure, conveyed, “Undoubtedly, Vince’s journey with WWE has ended. The world has moved forward, and the current generation differs greatly from the one Vince was accustomed to.”
Russo discussed the improbability of TKO allowing McMahon’s return saying, “Ari Emanuel would be the least intelligent businessman if he decided to sustain any connection with Vince McMahon considering the successful track record of his company, it’s clear that he isn’t. Vince unequivocally has zero association with the WWE today.”
