Former WCW wrestler Evan Karagias was arrested on Wednesday in North Carolina.

According to the Gaston County Sheriff’s Office, the 49 year-old Karagias was arrested on charges of simple assault and injury to personal property on November 1st.

While the charges are listed as “Assault, Simple” and “Injury, Personal Property,” no other details on the circumstances that led to the arrest are known at this time. Both charges are misdemeanors.

Karagias was booked into the Gaston County Jail at 1:36 AM EST. He wound up being released about an hour later at 2:48 AM EST after posting a $2,500 secured bond.

Karagias worked in WCW from 1997 until 2001. Some of you may recall his time working in “3 Count” alongside Shane “Hurricane” Helms and Shannon Moore.
