Former TNA/IMPACT Announcer Don West Says His Cancer Is In Remission
Some great news from Don West came over the weekend when he revealed that his cancer is now in remission.
In a Twitter update, he said “I want to give everyone an update. After 8 weeks of chemotherapy and 13 treatments of radiation my cancer is now in remission Thank you for everyone’s prayers because they truly worked I look forward to getting back on the radio doing what I love.”
Back in June, West initially revealed he was diagnosed with a brain lymphoma and would be starting treatment. Just two months ago in July, West informed his fans that he was thankful for the well wishes and promised to do whatever it took to beat cancer. It looks like those efforts have paid off.
West was with TNA/IMPACT Wrestling from 2002 through 2012 alongside Mike Tenay on the commentary team. He has most recently been with NewsRadio 560 KPQ in Washington where he regularly covers the Seattle Mariners and Seahawks.
