John Kirius, also known as former Ring of Honor World Champion Xavier has passed away. PWInsider was among the first to report the news. As of this writing, the cause of death is unknown. Broadcaster Ian Riccaboni, who some consider as the voice of Ring of Honor, commented on Xavier’s passing via Twitter. “Man, gone way too soon,” Riccaboni wrote.
Xavier, a native of New York City, wrestled all over the East Coast wrestling scene. He won championships in various promotions, including Jersey All Pro Wrestling and East Coast Wrestling Association. Xavier was scheduled to return at Ring of Honor at ROH Past vs. Present, but the event was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Man, gone way too soon.
Always so nice when he'd swing by NYC for ROH events. Unheralded and under aporeciated. Was looking forward to calling his comeback match in ROH.
Rest in Peace, Xavier. https://t.co/UH96AJh2zK
