The professional wrestling world is abuzz as an injured star will soon be making her comeback on AEW television. Thunder Rosa, who had been out of the ring due to a concussion, issued a statement earlier this month. Informing fans of her enforced absence, Rosa anticipated being away from the wrestling action for a couple of weeks.
In her announcement, Rosa strongly recommended her fellow wrestlers to halt their wrestling activities if they have any suspicion of a concussion to avoid the possibility of exacerbating the injury. She has taken this time to gather more knowledge about concussions, seeking guidance from Chris Nowinski, a former WWE star and presently CEO of the Concussion Legacy Foundation.
Rosa’s last appearance was on the AEW Collision episode which aired on August 31st. Competing against Hikaru Shida, Serena Deeb, and Queen Aminata, Rosa entertained viewers with a thrilling four-way match.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter recently reported that Rosa, who formerly held the AEW Women’s World Champion title, has been medically cleared for a return to the ring.
Showing her allegiance outside the wrestling ring, Rosa recently tossed the ceremonial first pitch at a San Diego Padres baseball game last week.
