The highly anticipated event, AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door 2024, is set to take place on June 30, inside the UBS Arena, situated in Elmont, a beautiful hamlet on Long Island, New York.

Tony Khan, the President of AEW, recently took to Twitter to reveal that the “Zero Hour” kickoff event would exceed its allocated time. Set to begin at 6:30 PM ET, the pre-show now has a runtime of 90 minutes.

Khan expressed his enthusiasm online, stating, “Sunday at Forbidden Door, I’m excited that, as wrestling converges @UBSArena AEW Zero Hour is going into overtime, some of the best in AEW + across the world fight for FREE worldwide, and with such compelling matches hopefully we’ll continue our strong ppv trends + make new fans!

Another significant update in the wrestling world was shared on Twitter by STARDOM. The organization confirmed the successful completion of its merger with New Japan Pro Wrestling. This merger had begun in April and was successfully finalized recently, making STARDOM a fully owned subsidiary of NJPW.

The public announcement by STARDOM read, “As announced in April, the merger between STARDOM and New Japan Pro-Wrestling was completed June 28th. STARDOM is now a wholly owned subsidiary of NJPW, and we look forward to your continued support.”
