On the most recent weekly edition of WWE SmackDown, held at the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, California, the action didn’t cease once the televised portion of the show concluded.

In the aftermath of Smackdown’s main broadcast, two additional dark matches were held for the audience present at the venue. Opening this exclusive segment, Liv Morgan, the reigning Women’s World Champion, defended her title successfully against challenger Lyra Valkyria.

The subsequent encounter pitted the compelling pairing of Drew McIntyre and Jey Uso against each another. Throughout the course of the duel, in what appeared to be part of his psychological warfare towards another competitor, McIntyre executed CM Punk’s finisher, the GTS, or Go to Sleep.

A captured footage of this intriguing moment was shared via Twitter:

“Drew gave jey uso the GTS in a #Smackdown dark match tonight.” – بطي, a WWE enthusiast (@vintageb6i), tweeted on September 21, 2024.

While McIntyre’s mind games proved interesting, it was Uso who emerged triumphant from the match. The surprising victor is set to challenge Bron Breakker for the Intercontinental Champion title in the forthcoming WWE RAW episode.

Additionally, McIntyre has an impending confrontation lined up at the WWE Bad Blood 2024 event. He’s slated to compete with CM Punk in the iconic Hell in a Cell – a match that will be McIntyre’s first venture inside the steel structure since 2021, and Punk’s initial return since 2013.
