In case you did not catch the action during the WWE Monday Night Raw episode that aired on July 22, 2024, two new matches have been confirmed for the roster of WWE SummerSlam 2024, and one of them comes with a unique stipulation.
Bron Breakker emerged victorious over Ilja Dragunov, earning himself another shot at the Intercontinental Championship. He now faces Sami Zayn, who scored a win over him at the WWE Money in the Bank 2024 event last month. However, Breakker had the last laugh on the recent Raw, ambushing Zayn in the main event with one of his devastating spears.
In another development, a match between CM Punk and Drew McIntyre has also been slotted onto the card, though with a couple of alterations. The show’s General Manager, Adam Pearce, has placed a ban on any physical interaction before SummerSlam, with a suspension looming over anyone who violates this condition. Moreover, Seth Rollins has been designated as the special guest referee and will brief Punk and McIntyre about his referee instructions on the forthcoming Monday’s Raw episode on SyFy.
While this doesn’t have a direct bearing on the lineup, there was another significant event on tonight’s Raw, where Dominik Mysterio publicly distanced himself from Liv Morgan, apparently choosing to support The Nightmare Rhea Ripley in the upcoming Women’s World Championship match.
All of these exhilarating events are set to take place on Saturday, August 3, 2024, at the Cleveland Browns Stadium, Ohio.
Here’s the current line-up for the upcoming matches:
