Vince Russo, Jonathan Coachman, Maven, and Charly Arnoldt hold the collective opinion that Vince McMahon’s WWE reign has drawn to a permanent close.
As many are aware, McMahon tendered his resignation from WWE following a lawsuit filed against him by Janel Grant in January alleging sexual assault and trafficking charges.
On a recent installment of the show “Piers Morgan Uncensored,” fellow panelist Phil Mushnick expressed his belief that McMahon will maintain an eternal presence, a viewpoint not shared by his co-panelists.
Some captivating insights were divulged during the panel discussion, including:
Arnoldt’s take on McMahon’s WWE future was: “There’s a new breed of people being brought in who traditionally haven’t been involved in the wrestling arena. The situation sees the likes of [Nick] Khan at the helm of WWE, while UFC acquires WWE and TKO Group holds ownership of both entities. The direction is decidedly entertainment-focused, a stark contrast from the past.”
Coachman weighed in on McMahon’s departure by saying: “Our intention isn’t to rally behind Vince, but rather to highlight the positive aspects and individuals in the industry. When all aspects are globally dismissed as negative, this demonstrates a limited view, particularly when you assess the last 25 years populated with valuable people. Vince’s chapter has closed, his return isn’t anticipated or necessary given the remediation of issues experienced during our respective tenures at WWE.”
Maven’s input on McMahon was: “I firmly believe Vince’s era has ended. The context has changed, the generation is different from what Vince was accustomed to.”
Russo pointed out the improbability of TKO reinstating McMahon, stating: “For Ari Emanuel to continue any link with Vince McMahon, he would need to be the most naive businessman in the world. Given the obvious prosperity of his company, he clearly isn’t. It’s safe to say Vince McMahon has no current affiliation with WWE.”
