During WWE WrestleMania 34, Finn Balor made a unique entrance showcasing pro-LGBTQ+ support.

In a recent interview with TNT Sports, Balor shared some behind-the-scenes stories about how the concept came to fruition. He remembered how he had to present his idea to both Stephanie McMahon and Triple H.

Below are a few key moments from Balor’s interview:

His initial thoughts on the entrance: “The thought of doing ‘The Demon’ was consistently there during the WrestleMania build-up. Everyone seemed to be waiting for ‘The Demon’ and questioning when and how we are planning it. The immense pressure to do this particular entrance for my first WrestleMania was intense. Simultaneously, I had this novel idea which was more significant in my eyes. I wanted to use my stage presence as a medium to bring about a change.”

Presenting his proposal: “Roughly three weeks prior to WrestleMania, I presented my idea to Hunter (Triple H) and Stephanie (McMahon). They were immediately supportive and gave me a green light. With their guidance, I could connect with the LGBTQ+ society in New Orleans. The community members who stood with me on that stage were genuinely from that place. They weren’t extras; they were genuine supporters of this cause. For me, that particular instance was much more significant than any possible Demon entrance.”

In June, the world comes together to celebrate Pride month. Best wishes to everyone partaking in the celebrations!

Fans appreciated Balor’s comments, as resonated by a tweet by WWE on TNT Sports: “That was a more important moment than any ‘Demon’ entrance could have ever been.”
