Tony Khan, President of All Elite Wrestling (AEW), has been met with varying feedback from the wrestling community regarding his managerial decisions. Recently, AEW has come under scrutiny after a fan reported the company to the FBI, accusing AEW of encouraging doxing – the act of publishing private information about individuals.
The wrestling industry has seen an rise in divisiveness, especially in recent years. This discord has grown so severe that a Twitter user by the name of Technibility claimed to have been victimized and has consequently filed a complaint against AEW, alleging the company’s involvement in promoting doxing via fans’ activities.
Technibility has reported the issue to the FBI in an official complaint, insisting that AEW, under Khan’s guidance, has backed such practices. Seemingly, AEW has not intervened or addressed the issue, allowing it to persist.
More details on the grievance were provided by Technibility. He stated:
“Re: Complaint against All Elite Wrestling, LLC
I am one of many individuals and victims of internet doxing, encouraged by All Elite Wrestling, LLC, owned by Tony Khan, their employees, their consumers, and subsidiaries.
I will provide evidence to exhibit that All Elite Wrestling, LLC overall has encouraged their consumers to behave in ways that expose people’s private information, photos, and data for harmful use, without repudiating such reprehensible behavior or accountability. Furthermore, there has been no action by All Elite Wrestling, LLC or its associates to denounce this unethical activity and business practices.
The data and proof that I will submit will offer numerous examples of intentional targeting, data leaks, slander, libel, and other forms of abuse. These could potentially give rise to a class-action lawsuit against All Elite Wrestling, LLC, and its associated organizations and internet publishers who have supported this behavior, as well as certain social media users who have been tasked with promoting doxing against anyone with differing views on various social media platforms against All Elite Wrestling, LLC”
Even though the allegations are serious, Technibility has opted to deactivate his Twitter account post lodging the complaint. It is yet be seen how Tony Khan plans to address these allegations publicly.
