John Cena made a dramatic comeback to WWE during the 2024 Pay-per-view event, Money In The Bank, to unveil his upcoming retirement from professional wrestling in 2025.
Prior to finally hanging his boots, the Leader of ‘Cenation’ has plans to take part in monumental events such as WWE Royal Rumble 2025, Elimination Chamber 2025 and WrestleMania 41.
In an interesting conversion on the podcast, “McGuire on Wrestling,” Chris Jericho, the former AEW World Champion, shared his viewpoint on Cena’s farewell tour named “The Last Time Is Now”. He acknowledged and admired the idea.
He expressed his thoughts, “It’s great. John’s always had a great love for wrestling, and he’s got a great connection with the fans, so I think it’s a cool way to go about it. People know that this is it. John’s not the type of guy to say anything lightly, so I’m sure he’s been focused on this and working with the company to make sure it’s right, and I’m sure it’s gonna be a really great year and a half for Cena fans and for John Cena himself.”
In a recent update, Cena compared his goodbye tour to an unforgettable sunset, articulating his eagerness to share this unique moment with his loved ones.
