In this report, we delve into the often overlooked aspect of losing streaks in WWE. Our list showcases the longest losing streaks on TV for main roster WWE Superstars, shedding light on the challenges they face and their journey towards redemption. Here’s the used criteria:
The provided information is as credible as the source allows. With that said, here are the longest losing streaks of 14 WWE Superstars.
Recent social media posts have highlighted The Miz’s downfall since WrestleMania, including losses to Snoop Dogg and Pat McAfee. Despite being prominently featured by WWE, he struggles to gain momentum.
The Viking Raiders’ return last year brought success, but their losing streak began in late-March. The competitive tag team divisions and ongoing main event storylines have limited their opportunities.
Mystery surrounds Von Wagner’s character. After threatening to cut him off as his manager, Robert Stone appreciates his client getting a promotion. However, he keeps asking about a baby picture possibly linking to a traumatic event in his infant life, of which Wagner refuses to explain. However, even before Wagner’s promotion to the main roster, he has not won a TV match since LVL UP in January.. He still appears on NXT to further the story while occasionally working matches on the main roster.
They are the tag team with the second-longest losing streak in WWE, although this number also includes some singles defeats. Despite their athleticism and Angel’s charisma, WWE continues to use them as enhancement talent.
As one of only three superstars who have not won a TV match since 2021, the Maximum Male Models and previous Retribution member has the second longest wait for a victory.
Since reverting to his original gimmick from Ezekiel, Elias picked up a few victories, mostly in a tag team with Matt Riddle. However, since the team quietly disbanded, he has been walking alone on the road of disappointment. His only saving grace has been getting airtime with the returning Rick Boogs.
Mån.Sôör has done well to find a gimmick with the Maximum Male Models, but his win-loss record has gone down the toilet since breaking out from 2019 to 2021. He was winning a ton of matches, but is now going through the toughest stage of his career.
She currently holds the longest losing streak of any woman called up from NXT. In 2021, Xia Li appeared for a second time on the main roster with an intense character she had worked hard on for over a year. Yet, after enjoying a short winning streak, her career fell off a cliff in March last year. She has lost every match since, including dark matches and live events. For a moment, it looked as if she may enjoy another push after helping Damage CTRL, but WWE quickly swept her contribution under the rug.
The most public downfall has been the career of Baron Corbin. After his run as Happy Corbin diminished, JBL returned to WWE to rejuvenate the now re-christened “Wrestling God”. It didn’t work, because Corbin kept on losing, so JBL ditched him after telling him he was worthless. It has been a little over six months since Corbin picked up a win over Tozawa. 14 losses in six months puts him #2 in terms of most losses in this timeframe.
Sportskeeda recently reported that Shanky had been sent back to the WWE Performance Center to improve his craft. His last match on the main roster was on an episode of SmackDown in July, but according to WWE, he remains part of the main roster. Before disappearing without explanation, Shanky had the biggest losing streak of anyone. He currently holds the record for the longest wait for a victory, dating almost 20 months.
Tamina is no stranger to losing. For years, she has racked up more defeats than any other female superstar. Her last push was during the late 24/7 title days, when she & Akira Tozawa were an item. In the title’s dying days, Tamina won it several more times on live events, but this ended when Dana Brooke lost it to Nikki Cross before it was dumped unceremoniously. She has since spent her time wrestling other struggling main roster and potential NXT Superstars on Main Event.
The most surprising result from the research was Otis losing sixteen TV matches in six months. For clarity, here’s the list of losses in chronological order:
For anyone wondering why Chad Gable isn’t on this list, it’s because he defeated Baron Corbin in a singles match in March. As for the tag team, Alpha Academy has not won a tag match since September 19th, 2022 against Shelton Benjamin & Cedric Alexander on Main Event. Since then, they have racked up 10 tag team losses on TV, which makes them the least successful team on the main roster.
Does any of the research surprise you? Do any of the listed WWE Superstars deserve to lose as often as they do? And would you like to see more lists like these? We would appreciate your feedback. Thank you.
