As we’ve previously disclosed here at eWn, the global wrestling organization, WWE, is presently embroiled in legal proceedings. They are facing a lawsuit initiated by a fan who alleges that attending a SmackDown television recording in 2022 resulted in hearing impairment.
The individual who filed the lawsuit, Richard Bryant, lodged the claim in March. He accuses WWE of negligence and carelessness, blaming these factors for his personal injury.
Bryant alleges that his injuries consist of a severe rupture to his right eardrum, hearing impairment in the corresponding ear, bilateral tinnitus, and psychological distress. He fears these may have resulted in long-term issues. Furthermore, he claims to have incurred out-of-pocket expenses for medical intervention. Bryant is pursuing damages worth approximately ,000.
Pwinsider reported that WWE very recently secured an extension from the US District Court of DC allowing them more time to frame a response to the lawsuit.
With this new deadline in place, WWE has been given until June 3 to submit an official response.
