WrestleMania 36 featured two cinematic matches as “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt took John Cena through a psychedelic look at his psyche and career and The Undertaker literally buried AJ Styles.

Fan reaction was largely positive towards these type of matches and Vince McMahon says that more will come during today’s financial call for the company. Due to the current coronavirus pandemic, WWE will continue to put on “mini movies” going forward.

The next cinematic match is believed to be the Money in the Bank matches, which were recorded at Titan Towers and will be aired during the pay-per-view. Rather than a traditional ladder match, the bouts will feature superstars making their way to the top of the building and battling it out on the roof for the Money in the Bank briefcase.
