As we previously reported here on eWn, former WWE developmental talent Daniel Rodimer was indicted on murder charges and surrendered to authorities in March.
KTVB in Las Vegas is reporting that the trial for Rodimer’s murder charges will commence on May 8 in Nevada.
Rodimer stands accused of assaulting Christopher Tapp on October 29 after Tapp had allegedly offered cocaine to Rodimer’s stepdaughter in a Las Vegas hotel room.
While Tapp’s death was initially believed to be caused by an apparent overdose and a fall, an autopsy later revealed that the victim had suffered blunt force trauma to the head and had used cocaine.
Tapp passed away at Sunrise Hospital on November 5.
Rodimer’s defense attorneys, David Chesnoff and Richard Schonfeld, have stated that Rodimer “maintains his complete innocence and looks forward to his day in court.”
Rodimer is currently free on $200,000 bail.
