Ryan Nemeth, a professional wrestler with AEW (All Elite Wrestling), holds a unique clause in his contract that permits him to occasionally shift gears and focus on his acting career, without any penalties from AEW.
During a recent appearance on the “Developmentally Speaking” podcast, Nemeth shared insights about his AEW contract and his wrestling career. Reflecting on his ambitions, Nemeth stated:
“My main goal has remained consistent over time. My primary aim is to bring joy to people’s faces, no matter what. That could involve wrestling, comedy, writing, or acting. My aspiration is to evoke emotions in people and earn a living from it. Thus, I don’t restrict myself to just one craft, and I have never been made to do so.”
Further exploring his unique contractual agreement, Nemeth elaborated:
“Every contract I’ve ever signed with AEW includes a provision stating that I can’t be fined or penalized in any way for accepting an acting gig. They were exceedingly supportive of this provision, which I greatly appreciate. After all, my ring name perfectly sums it up, ‘Hollywood Hunk.’ So naturally, I occasionally need to take up acting roles. I’ve only had to forgo two AEW events so far due to acting commitments, such as the time I had to attend reshoots for ‘The Iron Claw’ and had a narrow miss.”
Nemeth is famed for his role as Gino Hernandez in “The Iron Claw.”
