In a recent engagement with “The Takedown,” ex-WWE NXT titleholder Ethan Page shared some incredible compliments about his onscreen nemesis, Trick Williams. Page recently faced defeat, losing the WWE NXT Championship to Williams in the latest NXT TV episode.
Here are some fascinating excerpts from the interview:
Ethan Page with words on Trick Williams: “I’ve got to admit, he’s excellent. Honestly, three years in the business, I would have been petrified if I had to do the things he’s doing now. I was 19 years old three years in, unlike him who is 30, so the experiences differ. His performance for someone with his level of experience is exceptional. It’s intriguing that he’s already been a part of a hundred matches while I’ve been in over a thousand.”
His views on how he and Williams differ: “We couldn’t be more diverse in this regard, yet, coincidentally we find ourselves in similar positions, it’s just that my experience far surpasses his. I don’t envy anyone who must learn on the job, especially knowing the gravity this role carries. I relate to that because it’s the one I’ve strived for my whole life. To be in the same sneakers as me, just three years in, deserves applause, especially considering the calibre of his performance. His crowd connectivity, athleticism, and phenomenal image are quite the spectacle. He’s sure to come good even under pressure. I acknowledge his worth wholeheartedly.”
In a separate interaction with “The Wrestling Classic,” Bron Breakker unveiled his lifelong goal to be a part of WWE. He stated that he was ready to take this leap post his exit from the NFL. The erstwhile WWE Intercontinental titleholder reflected upon his decision to join WWE, following his time with the Baltimore Ravens in 2020 as an undrafted free agent before being released later that year.
Here are some worthwhile highlights from Breakker’s interview:
His views on WWE growing up: “My adoration for WWE goes back as far as I can remember. It was a path I was destined for, a journey I always wanted to embark upon. WWE is a perfect match for me; it’s almost as though my birth led me to this.”
Speaking about his football career and joining WWE post his NFL exit: “Everyone was apprehensive about my decision because I could have still played football. The cut from the Ravens’ squad was heartbreaking for me, considering my commitment and dedication to the sport. The NFL is a business and I acknowledge that. However, even with opportunities to continue football, my heart leaned towards WWE. It was time.”
