Ethan Page Edited The North’s ‘Title Defense’ Segment Himself, Another Match Set For IMPACT Next Week

Ethan Page is a jack of all trades—wrestler, promoter, and now producer and video editor.

As seen on last night’s new episode of IMPACT Wrestling, The North made their latest title defense against “Canada’s Best”— a team named The Creeps. While the match was pretty short itself, the entertainment value was in the pre-match promos cut by Page and Josh Alexander in front of all of the “fans” that showed up to watch.

As it turns out, the segment itself was put together by Page, as he revealed that behind-the-scenes detail on the latest episode of his weekly vlog. Page’s latest vlog takes a look back at his Freelance Wrestling feud with Kylie Rae, featuring appearances from Kylie Rae herself and Freelance promoter Matt Knicks. In addition, fans of last night’s segment will also be pleased to learn that next week’s episode of IMPACT will see The North defend their titles once again. Page noted that there was one more match in store, and while there was a hint of that one having a similar theme, he didn’t confirm any other details.

IMPACT Wrestling has announced several matches for next week’s episode, including:

First Round #1 Contender’s Tournament Match
Rohit Raju vs. Trey Miguel

First Round #1 Contender’s Tournament Match
Sami Callihan vs. Michael Elgin

First Round #1 Contender’s Tournament Match

Rhino vs. Ken Shamrock

While he did feud with ‘Smiley Kylie’ in the Midwest, Page was actually very complimentary of his opponent during a recent interview with Wrestlezone. Page called Kylie Rae a very important signing for IMPACT Wrestling and said the connection Kylie has with the audience is something you can’t manufacture.

“She automatically brightens up any locker room and her attitude is one that you can’t teach. Like you said, I’ve worked with her in the ring so many times and I’ve been wrestling about 14-15 years—I’ve never met someone that’s so nervous before they perform,” Page said, “and then when they step through the curtain it just washes away. It’s like she becomes a female Shawn Michaels.”
