Ethan Page has been ducking a fight with The Karate Man for a long time, and now we know he didn’t want it to happen on television in the first place.

Page posted the following on Twitter in response to a fan poking fun at the Karate Man’s appearances on IMPACT Wrestling. One remarked that no one is “making” Page do anything because the showdown originated on his personal YouTube channel, and Karate Man just took the fight to the airwaves of AXS.

I actually asked them not to do karate man on tv Man [shrugging emoji]

I don’t write the show.

It was a YouTube thing.

Page first encountered The Karate Man, who is most definitely a completely separate individual, and not at all Ethan Page in cosplay, on his YouTube channel this summer. From there, The Karate Man continued to challenge Page to a fight, and they most recently battled on “The Invitation Part 2.”

With The Karate Man’s decisive win, Ethan Page was “forced” to pull all of his own personal merchandise from his online store, leading to fans further speculating that he was leaving IMPACT Wrestling since his contract expired on January 1, 2021. Page will have at least one more moment in the sun, as he’s set to battle The Karate Man at IMPACT’s Hard To Kill pay-per-view on Saturday.
