WWE’s World NXT Champion, Ethan Page, continues to impress industry veteran Booker T. The latter expressed his admiration for Page’s successful stint in NXT during the podcast “Hall of Fame”.
Earlier this year, Ethan Page made his remarkable entry into WWE NXT and handsomely captured the NXT World Championship at the recently held Heatwave event where he outmatched his competitors in a nail-biting fatal four-way confrontation.
In his recent podcast, Booker T applauded the fact that Page has seamlessly adapted to the WWE NXT platform. In his words,
“Ethan Page, six weeks, man, six weeks since joining NXT, and now he’s the NXT Champion. What a ride this kid is on. What a ride Ethan Page is on. When he was in AEW, and I’m not just saying this, I always thought he was a guy that stood out. I always thought he wanted more. He wanted to be the frontman. Every time I saw him, he was talking. I don’t know what it was, but it was something about him. Now, he’s a part of NXT. I’ve liked his work since he joined the company. His becoming champion is definitely a flip-the-script moment. Nobody really saw this coming. We were in the ‘Whoop that Trick’ era, and then suddenly, boom. We shifted gears, and now we’re in the ‘All Ego’ era.”
Earlier this week, on WWE NXT, Page termed his powerful reign as the ‘Era of All Ego’ and was confronted by several other Superstars.
In the grand finale, Page and Shawn Spears ended up on the losing side when they matched against Trick Williams and Joe Hendry from TNA Wrestling. Hendry stepped in as a replacement for Je’Von Evans.
