Eric Young still has a positive relationship with Triple H, despite the Canadian’s recent return to WWE resulting in him never returning to TV.

Speaking with “Haus of Wrestling,” Eric Young revealed that he has maintained a good relationship with WWE’s Head of Creative Triple H, who he spoke to recently. He said,

“I still have a very good relationship with Hunter; I was just talking to him a couple of days ago. I loved it. The truth is, I never wanted to leave NXT. I knew that the main roster was the destination, and that’s where you made money, and that was kind of the end goal for most people. But the truth was deep in my heart I never wanted to leave in the first place. So yeah, I absolutely loved NXT.

“The main roster was not the same experience. It was a very poor experience, probably my least favorite out of my 30-plus years in wrestling.”

After his departure from WWE earlier this year, Young returned to Impact Wrestling at this year’s Slammiversary as the mystery partner of Scott D’Amore.

Eric Young, a former WWE wrestler, recently revealed that he still maintains a positive relationship with Triple H, the Head of Creative at WWE. Despite Young’s recent return to the company resulting in him never appearing on TV, he expressed his admiration for Triple H and his time in NXT.

Young, who was released by WWE in 2020 and then rehired in November 2022, requested his release again in April 2023. In an interview with “Haus of Wrestling,” Young shared that he had recently spoken to Triple H and still considers him a friend. He stated, “I still have a very good relationship with Hunter; I was just talking to him a couple of days ago. I loved it. The truth is, I never wanted to leave NXT.”

Young expressed his fondness for NXT and admitted that he never wanted to leave in the first place. He acknowledged that the main roster experience was not the same and described it as his least favorite out of his 30-plus years in wrestling. Despite this, he recognized that the main roster was often seen as the destination where wrestlers could make more money.

After leaving WWE earlier this year, Young made a return to Impact Wrestling at Slammiversary as the mystery partner of Scott D’Amore. This move allowed him to continue his wrestling career outside of WWE.
