Eric Young, a high-profile professional wrestler, recently expressed his admiration for fellow wrestler Chris Jericho, claiming that he has gone underappreciated for his current stint with Tony Khan’s AEW.
As a recent guest on the podcast, “Behind the Grind,” Young, who is currently a part of TNA team, shared his insights about Jericho’s contributions to AEW and beyond.
Below is a selection of Young’s statements from the podcast:
On the topic of Chris Jericho, Young stated: “Jericho has been applauded quite extensively, yet I’m not sure the applause matches the level of his impact on the game. He has been at the pinnacle of this profession for three decades now and continues to be a leading figure in global wrestling, even past the age of 50.”
Discussing his personal interactions with Jericho, Young said: “He’s an individual with a great attitude who has always shown me kindness and respect. I’ve observed him excel in the ring and beyond in the domain of professional wrestling. Furthermore, his foray beyond wrestling into hosting gameshows, acting and fronting a full-time touring band is truly admirable. His creative and entertainment capabilities seem boundless… I consider him among the most multifaceted entertainers on the scene and it’s a pleasure to count him as a good friend of mine.”
