Eric Bischoff, a seasoned wrestling figure, maintains that WWE’s Vince McMahon appears to have lost his touch with his fan base, in stark contrast to the company’s CCO Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque, who hasn’t yet faltered in this regard.

In a recent instalment of his podcast, “83 Weeks”, Bischoff addressed McMahon’s departure from WWE and touched upon the organisation’s transitional phase. He stated,

“Vince lost his feel for the audience. Sure, he had it in the 90s, in fact, he’d always had it, and we all witnessed what he achieved in the business in the early 80s… But by the 90s, cornered as I consistently challenged his dominance, he embarked on the Attitude Era and ventured into a new narrative style. At this point, Vince McMahon’s true capabilities came forth and he was at his peak, but he seemed to lose it somewhere thereafter.”

“Triple H and Bruce Prichard have not lost it. They do not just come forward claiming to have the ‘greatest idea in the world,’ but rather rely on their gut feeling. They possess a keen sense of how the audience will react and what they will value.”

The downfall of McMahon was recently chronicled in Netflix’s documentary series, Mr. McMahon, which provided an in-depth look at the former Chairman’s numerous scandals.

Regardless of this, McMahon has publicly stated that he holds no regrets. At present, McMahon is addressing a lawsuit filed by Janel Grant alleging sexual misconduct.

A former employee claims the 79-year-old billionaire implicated himself during the documentary series. Click this link for more information.
