Former WCW President and WWE Hall of Famer, Eric Bischoff, announces his decision to donate his paycheck for December 5th’s MLW One Shot show to charity. During an interview with FOX News, Bischoff explained his choice to give his earnings to Tunnel To Towers, a charity organization dedicated to helping American heroes.
Tunnel To Towers is a charity that defines its mission as such: “Since 9/11, we have been delivering mortgage-free homes to Gold Star and fallen first responder families with young children and by building specially-adapted smart homes for catastrophically injured veterans and first responders. Furthermore, our mandate involves eradicating veteran homelessness and perpetuating the memory of the September 11, 2001 tragedy.”
In the interview, Bischoff emphasized that his participation in MLW One Shot was not financially driven: “One of the first things I asserted to (MLW founder Court Bauer) was that this is not about financial gain. When he began discussing my fee, I interjected that it was not my primary concern, and that whatever I earn, it will be donated to Tunnel to Towers.”
Regarding potential future engagements in wrestling, Bischoff highlighted that enjoyment is his primary factor: “I convey to Court that participating in wrestling has to be enjoyable for me – that’s the deciding factor. If it’s just work or a mere revenue source, it doesn’t pique my interest.”
His commitment to wrestling was rooted in the condition that the process should be enjoyable not only for him, but also for the audience and the organizing team. If these expectations are met, then there’s a possibility for future engagements, though he admits it’s highly unlikely.
