Eric Bischoff may be well-recognized in the world of wrestling, despite not being a regular wrestler, and he certainly understands the physical toll the sport can take.

During a recent episode of his podcast, “83 Weeks,” Bischoff reflected on some of the most grueling experiences he endured throughout his wrestling career. He remarked,

“Off the stage… Kane, choke-slamming me off the stage [was the most brutal]. It was minor, but self-inflicted due to my inexperience in how to take a fall. Particularly off the stage, and as a result, I made a beginner’s error. As I descended — I kept focusing on tucking my chin in and all — I stretched back to touch the floor before landing, and ended up breaking my thumb. Such a foolish, newcomer blunder.”

This specific incident occurred in 2003 right after Kane was obligated to remove his mask, a directive initiated by Bischoff himself.

Bischoff continued by stating that the spear he took from Goldberg during his time in WWE was similarly brutal, as it left the recognized Hall of Famer shocked and in pain.

He detailed that his head made contact with the bottom of the rope when Goldberg tackled him. Although it didn’t knock him out, it was agonizing.
