On the recent installment of the “Eyes Up Here” podcast, ex-ECW superstar Francine shed light on the initial ECW brand and speculated on whether it would have a female division if it were still in existence today.
Francine revealed, “We didn’t possess a female division, and that’s one significant change right there. There was no women’s wrestling as we see today. If ECW existed nowadays, it would have to adapt to current trends. I’m confident that Paul [Heyman], or anyone else in charge in 2024, would have to begin incorporating female wrestlers. It’s a popular trend at the moment. They were the show’s main draw, and the audience enjoyed watching the females perform.”
On another podcast – the “No-Contest Wrestling” podcast, renowned wrestling figure and WWE Hall of Famer Eric Bischoff opened up about the wrestlers he would opt for in a genuine bar brawl.
Let’s delve into some podcast highlights:
When asked about the wrestlers he’d prefer to have in a real bar brawl: “Meng [aka Haku], as the primary choice. Brock Lesnar comes next, followed by Kurt Angle. I don’t believe I need a fourth.”
Regarding not personally witnessing any of Haku’s off-stage or bar fights: “Though I haven’t personally seen any, I’ve heard enough stories from trustworthy sources that I absolutely believe them. I would have sent Meng in first. The other 37 bystanders watching Meng tackle three guys… [would say], ‘Perhaps we acted too hastily. How about you folks join us for a round on us?’”
