Eric Bischoff isn’t taken aback by Bret Hart’s “bad-tempered” demeanor in the inaugural episode of the show, ‘Who Killed WCW?’, maintaining that such attitudes are typical of the ‘Hitman’.
In the first episode of the recently launched documentary series, Hart labeled Bischoff as a “puppet” in the hands of Hulk Hogan, expressing his distaste for WCW by stating, “Thanks for nothing, go f* yourselves.”
Reflecting on these remarks in the recent episode of his podcast “83 Weeks,” Bischoff admits that he was rather unfazed by the vitriol thrown by the erstwhile WWE and WCW World Champion.
“I anticipated Bret Hart to be touchy and moody, blaming everyone else. It’s nothing out of the ordinary. Every time we encounter Bret, he’s upset with someone,” Bischoff noted.
He continued, “I chanced upon him in Australia some weeks back. We were both present at the same place and I greeted him, made acquaintance with his wife too who appeared quite genteel. But when you observe this man across the room, he seems perpetually miserable.”
“Maybe deep within him, he’s a happy soul, but his exterior exudes misery. It’s always the same with Bret. He had no f*ing idea what was happening in WCW.”
While Bischoff agreed that Hart entered WCW after being through numerous hardships including the infamous Montreal Screwjob, he stressed that it’s hard to take him seriously owing to his persistent bitterness.
In addition to these, Bischoff shared his thoughts about his participation on the ‘Who Killed WCW?’ series. To find out his opinions, you can explore his comments in this video.
