Eric Bischoff Gives Several Reasons Why Logan Paul Is A Great Choice For WWE

Eric Bischoff thinks Logan Paul is a rock solid WrestleMania pick-up for WWE on several levels.
Paul was invited to WrestleMania 37 by Sami Zayn to play a special role in his match against Kevin Owens and Bischoff, the recently inducted 2021 WWE Hall Of Famer, told Conrad Thompson on the latest episode of 83 Weeks that Paul’s ability to gather that new social media/YouTube could speak some volumes for WWE.
“Those are the people that you really have the power to bring a whole new set of eyeballs to your product and I think Logan Paul’s a great choice,” he said before later citing the star’s background on the wrestling mat.
“He’s not only a major influencer, he loves to go in there and mix it up. He’s an amateur wrestler so he’s got the ground game.” Bischoff then mentions the boxing training Paul has been through as well.
“Add to that, he’s taking his boxing training really seriously so he’s very comfortable going in there and getting banged because if you can’t take one you can’t give one.”
“So hey, c’mon, I think that’s one of the more logical celebrity acquisitions that I’ve seen in a long time. Makes sense,” he caps off with.
Conrad adds a little insight of his own as Logan Paul’s second boxing match against fellow YouTube star KSI happened to air the same weekend as Starrcast IV in Baltimore. Both events were hosted by FITE TV.
“I had the inside track on what type of business that show did and I probably shouldn’t say on the air here but let me just say, Logan Paul is a needle-mover that people are underestimating and if WWE had the inside track on how many boxing fights he really sold just through FITE alone, this is a no-brainer pick-up.”
“It is staggering the drawing power he has with the youth and that’s obviously something WWE has missed. It felt like their demo was skewing older. If you want the younger folks, Logan Paul checks a lot of boxes,” Conrad stated.
