Tonight’s episode of NXT opened up with a big match between Dakota Kai and Ember Moon, where Kai was able to come away with a huge win thanks to some help from Raquel Gonzalez, and some incredible skill and athleticism on her part.
Late in the match, both Moon and Kai began countering each other in a chaotic attempt to pin each other down. However, Kai was able to lock Moon into an armbar, which she eventually got out of by reaching the bottom rope. After Moon broke free and attempted to climb to the top rope for the Eclypse, however, Gonzalez distracted her, resulting in Kai getting a huge shot off on Moon that dropped her onto the mat for the win. The loss marks the first time since returning to NXT that Moon has suffered defeat, and gives Kai some huge bragging rights over someone who is quickly becoming her newest rival.
