In Buffalo, NY, AEW conducted a live episode of Dynamite before proceeding to record Collision on a Wednesday night. The episode was headlined by a returning talent’s performance in a untelevised bout.
Former college football player and bodybuilder EJ Nduka, once known as Ezra Judge during his WWE NXT tenure, was featured in the non-broadcast bout. After leaving WWE, Nduka rehabilitated his career in Major League Wrestling (MLW), where he bagged the Tag Team Championships.
Nduka first stepped into the AEW ring on Dark, squaring off against Konosuke Takeshita on January 28, 2023. His performance saw AEW extending him a full-time contract offer. Despite receiving offers from various wrestling outfits, including the WWE and several in Japan, Nduka decided to commit to a full-time contract with AEW.
In the months that followed, Nduka appeared in a pre-Collision bout in September and then featured in two more matches under the AEW banner. His latest in-ring appearance was at BRCW’s March Madhouse 2024 this past March, where he clinched a victory over Marcus Mathers in a single’s bout.
