Edge Reveals Whether He ‘d Like To Become A Producer Or Coach After Retirement

While Edge teased a retirement in 2015, the WWE Hall of Famer now states he does not have a timeframe in mind right now.

Speaking at the post-WWE Extreme Rules 2023 media scrum, the “Rated R Superstar” discussed his future strategies, consisting of the possibility of working as a coach/producer when his in-ring days pertain to an end.

On a prospective retirement date: “I attempt not to make any company choices. Here’s what I can state about tonight– I was retired for 9 years; I return and get to group with my spouse, who I wed while I was retired and had 2 gorgeous ladies with. The truth that we get to do this at all … I never ever believed this would occur. It’s since we are if it looks like we’re having enjoyable. We’re having a blast! I get to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with this lady, she hasn’t battled a match in over a year and still hops in there this evening versus leading skills like that. I’m so delighted, I’m not even considering what’s for breakfast tomorrow, not to mention what I’m going to perform in 5-8 months from now.”

On where he ‘d like to retire: “I will state, I ‘d like to do it in Canada.”

On possibly working as a manufacturer or coach when he retires: “Yes, I believe I ‘d like to be a jack-of-all-trades. I ‘d still like to be able to act, I ‘d like to provide my brain to this location. I’ve been doing this for 31 years, and I’ve been here for 25 of them. I’ve had the ability to insinuate 3 generations of skills– I’ve stood in the ring with Terry Funk, Undertaker and Seth Rollins. There are few individuals who can state that. I had a great deal of aid along the method from the Rick Martels and Bad News Browns of the world. They passed that understanding onto me, so it feels just fitting that I should, you understand, continue to pass it on. And I actually enjoy doing that [mentoring] too.
