Edge is returning to the show that started his Familia.

In addition to teasing Bianca Belair’s next move, WWE confirmed Edge would appear on the February 5 episode of SmackDown, potentially setting up a showdown with Universal Champion Roman Reigns. The ‘Rated R Superstar’ won this year’s men’s Royal Rumble match and has a guaranteed show at one of the promotion’s main championships. He confronted WWE Champion Drew McIntyre on RAW on Monday, but didn’t officially call his shot for the WrestleMania match.

This week’s show marks the first appearance by Edge on SmackDown since he hosted “The Cutting Edge” with Becky Lynch on SmackDown 1000 back in October 2018. If Edge does pick Roman Reigns as his WrestleMania opponent, this would also mark the first SmackDown-sanctioned match he’s had since he competed in a 10-man tag team dark match on April 5, 2011, where he and the team of Christian, Rey Mysterio, The Big Show and Triple H defeated Alberto Del Rio & The Corre’s Ezekiel Jackson, Heath Slater, Justin Gabriel and Wade Barrett.

WWE Raw picked up after Sunday’s Royal Rumble and officially started to the road to WrestleMania. Edge did not declare who he would face after winning the men’s Rumble, but WWE Champion Drew McIntyre had to deal with the challenge of betrayal at the hands of former best friend Sheamus. Bad Bunny, the most popular recording artist on Spotify, helped NXT call-up Damian Priest’s debut against the Miz. Edge reignited his bitter feud with the evil Randy Orton.
