Eddie Kingston recently graced the “Wrestling With The Narrative” podcast with his presence, discussing his views about Gabe Kidd from NJPW. He relayed that Homicide compared Kidd to a younger version of Kingston, the latter referred to as The Mad King.

Below are notable points from the podcast:

Eddie Kingston spoke about how Homicide compared him and Gabe Kidd: “Homicide indicated to me that Kidd is a younger mental version of me, and I trust his word because Homicide speaks truth. I believe Kidd physically maintains better condition than I do, yet I’d still punch a hole in his chest.”

As to the recent changes with Kidd’s wrestling career, Kingston showed intrigue: “With Kidd having exited the Bullet Club, I am indeed curious. This might prompt me to revisit my New Japan World account to explore his current wrestling style since I am drawn towards its novelty to me.”

Kingston also cleared the air about his current relationships with wrestling: “I’ve only been watching what I choose to, steering clear of AEW and New Japan. However, I have spent some time exploring old New Japan wrestling styles, combined with some of my King’s Road stuff and early NOAH materials. I’ve decided to avoid recent ones as I know they’d only tick me off.”

However, he admitted there’s one wrestler who has garnered his attention: “I’ve taken an interest in one wrestler, Takeshita. He’s the only person I’m currently watching.”

In a separate appearance on the “In the Kliq” podcast, Daniel Garcia, the TNT Champion, shed light on the ongoing scene in AEW, the recent Collision shows, and other matters.

Significant portions from the podcast included:

Discussing his unexpected title defense against Adam Cole in Collision, Garcia shared how the surprise unfolded: “The match was startling to me. Tony, back in the dressing room, announced I would be defending my title, a detail I was unaware of while in the ring. The news left me quite unprepared.”

Garcia also shared his anticipation for the match, hinting at some bubbling tension: “There has been a brewing tension between Adam Cole and me in the recent weeks, adding momentum to our Collision matches. Cole’s gaze holds certain implications when we’re in the ring together. It could mean romantic affection for me, or his desire for a shot at the TNT title. If it’s the latter, then that’s what he’ll get this Saturday.”
