An update has been shared by Eddie Kingston, ex-ROH World Champion, concerning his recent injuries that are anticipated to put his wrestling career on hold for several months.
Kington suffered a series of injuries earlier this year while participating in a match for New Japan, which included a tibular fracture, and tears in his ACL and meniscus. Reports suggest he won’t be expected to return until May 2025.
In a recent episode of the ‘DAVINci Report’ podcast, Kingston was probed about the progress of his recovery. His response was,
“It’s a journey. All is going well until insurance comes into the picture, and that’s when the frustration comes in. Just on a side note, insurance is bogus. Just wanted to share that.
“I’m getting restless at home. I’m able to walk now, not much, but yes, I can walk and even lift weights. I can manage squats to some extent, not too much, really. It is now time to speed up the recovery process.”
Kingston’s injuries resulted in his withdrawal from the Anarchy in the Arena event at Double or Nothing 2024. He was replaced in the match by wrestler Darby Allin.
