Recently, former AEW Continental Champion, Eddie Kingston, was a guest on “The DAVINci Report” podcast. During the on-air conversation, he talked about the current scenario within All Elite Wrestling (AEW). He also mentioned his belief that, at the moment, his presence isn’t particularly essential for the company.

Eddie Kingston stepped into the ring for AEW last time at the 2024 edition of the Dynasty pay-per-view event conducted early this year.

Highlighting key points from his podcast discussion:

Discussing AEW’s current scenario, Kingston remarked, “Honestly, at this moment, AEW can function perfectly fine without me. Given the current circumstances and what they’ve got planned, I believe my part isn’t crucial. Rather, my presence might disrupt some of their plans, which albeit I enjoy doing, I’m also trying to be a team player for the company. Disrupting their plans excessively, especially when they’re effective, isn’t something we want.”

The conversation also delved into Jon Moxley’s current situation. Kingston revealed, “Regarding what’s unfolding with Jon, I’m quite in the dark. It’s been around three or four months since we last had a conversation. I’m clueless about his recent involvement with Darby (Allin). I knew something was peculiar as we used to casually shoot texts, teasing each other with silly memes or comical Instagram posts, once or twice a week. Our communication wasn’t necessarily about wrestling. It seems he’s lost in his work for now, and I bear no grudges against his decisions. He doesn’t really need me around at the moment, or at least that’s what I think.”
