Eddie Edwards Prepares For Slammiversary, Looks Back On His First TNA World Championship Win
The Watch List takes a look at what matches you should be watching while you’re at home and they come recommended by your favorite professional wrestling stars.
WrestleZone recently spoke with Eddie Edwards, who is one of the four competitors in Saturday’s IMPACT World Championship match at Slammiversary. Edwards said he can point to title win against Bobby Lashley as one to help set the stage for this weekend’s pay-per-view as he aims to leave with the world title once again. Edwards also praised the work of Jun Akiyama and Kenta Kobashi in Japan, noting that
“Selfishly, I can point to me against Lashley when I won the championship. What better way to get ready for Slammiversary than that?
“I’ve done a lot with Pro Wrestling NOAH over in Japan and one of my absolute favorite matches was Jun Akiyama versus Kenta Kobashi from Tokyo, 2005 I believe. That match is one of my favorites. If you haven’t seen it, you should check it out. Other than that, it’s just a good time to watch as much wrestling as you can. I go through phases where certain days I’m watching All-Japan for a day or watching Pro Wrestling NOAH, of course going back and checking out the older TNA stuff. It’s just a good time to take in as much content as you can, a good way to get ready for what we have coming up at Slammiversary.”
We added some free-to-watch recommendations to the list and selected a good mix of bouts from Eddie Edwards’ career:
