Roxanne Perez remains hopeful of AJ Lee making a WWE comeback.
During her recent appearance on the “PWI Podcast,” the topic of her communication with CM Punk on the possibility of convincing Lee to make a return emerged. Her response was,
“No doubt, indeed. I’ve made efforts [to convince Punk to persuade AJ to consider a WWE return], but he lets me know he’s been doing the exact same. He’s been trying to coax her back, and I remain hopeful that someday she’ll choose to return and have a match with me.”
Eddie Dennis had a stint in NXT UK before it had to be closed down, following which he switched to the primary NXT brand to take the role of a creative writer and producer.
On a recent episode of the “WrestleMobs” podcast, Dennis discussed his transition to writing and producing. Below are some highlights from the conversation:
His thoughts on the end of NXT: “As they closed the brand and planned its relaunch as Europe, they sort of told me, ‘We absolutely value your contribution and when things stabilize, perhaps there’ll be a role for you.’”
Talking about turning to writing and producing: “The writing role is akin to a full-time job. Hence, they said, ‘You wouldn’t pursue wrestling.’ It wasn’t like a stipulated contract condition… but more like you can’t be a wrestler, as there won’t be enough time in the day”.
