During his recent guest appearance on the “Hitting the Turnbuckle” podcast, wrestling star Leon Slater shared his experience working with Matt and Jeff Hardy, whom he has admired since his youth. He stated,
“Indeed, it’s true. Every time, not just when we’re on television, every time I witness them entering the building, I’m reminding myself that it’s real. I always think, my gosh, that’s Matt and Jeff Hardy. Specifically for a kid like myself, who was a huge fan of the Hardy brothers growing up. It’s quite obvious the Hardy influence in all I do, involves my gear, my finisher, and so on. You can clearly see how much the Hardy brothers have influenced my work. So to not only have the chance to once team up with them, but to continuingly work with them and foster that relationship, not just as performers but as individuals too, and letting Matt and Jeff know me, it’s literally a dream scenario. Again, not many 20-year-olds have this opportunity to work with their idols. So I’m grateful and appreciate every opportunity that I’m getting. It really is a dream come true just being around Matt and Jeff and hearing their thoughts on my performance and current events in the wrestling world.”
