EC3 posted the following statement on his indoctrination website, confirming he has tested positive for COVID-19.
I have Covid.
I am fine.
I want to thank ROH and their medical protocol for the prompt turn around from testing to result. ROH’s commitment to putting its talent and staff’s health as their top priority is appreciated beyond words. In this case, #HonorIsReal.
I want to thank those that have reached out with encouraging words and well wishes. They are obliged. Please keep sending those wishes to those more affected. The front of the line health care workers, those risking infection supplying us, those lost, their families, those most vulnerable to this virus, the small businesses that are suffering, and more.
I very much looked forward to battling Jay Brisco at #FinalBattle. Jay is a world-class talent, a formidable competitor, and a man of honor. Jay is the perfect catalyst in the ‘essential character’s’ journey to finding if #HonorIsReal. Jay Brisco is a living legacy, and #FinalBattle is a distinguished platform in the storied history of Ring of Honor.
I am angered I am missing this, but…
This fight will happen.
And Jay’s scalp is one I will claim.
I have been following protocol and isolated myself as my body eliminates this virus.
I have noticed that my intuition functions at a higher level when I do not have to speak to other people.
For this reason, and in honor of the release of The Narrative Extended, on Amazon Prime, I will take time this quarantine period to document #TheNarrative from its inception till now.
AMAZON PRIME <<<<
From the professional and personal battles in this COVID world. The ‘essential character’s’ concept” and execution amongst reality-based parallels. The quest to #DestroyThePast through Impact Wrestling, to find out if #HonorIsReal in ROH and perhaps a bold vision of the future.
I will write these words here (www.freeec3.com); you will be welcomed to read them. #ControlYourNarrative
Tell your story.
Solitude is a place where the mind and spirit can gain strength. Solitude is the place inspiration can strike.
Only when someone is alone can they truly be free.

EC3 is one of four talents that Ring Of Honor pulled from this weekend’s Final Battle event; Kenny King, Bandido and Flamita were also pulled from the show due to a result of pre-travel testing.
EC3 was originally scheduled to face off with Jay Briscoe in a grudge match, while Bandido and Flamita were set to team with Roy Horus to defend their ROH Six-Man Tag Team Championship against Shane Taylor Promotions. According to a report by PWInsider.com this week, ROH will not announce the changes to the match card until the night of the Final Battle broadcast on pay-per-view on December 18. It was noted that the current plan is to reveal the changes during the free-to-watch portion of the show during the first hour of the event.
