Actor Dwayne Johnson, known as ‘The Rock’, is currently in a celebratory mood due to the phenomenal viewership records broken by the freshly dropped trailer for the much-anticipated Disney’s sequel, ‘Moana 2’.
The upcoming movie works as a follow-up to the popular 2016 film, with Johnson reprising his role as the demi-god Maui, combining forces once again with Moana, voiced by Auli’i Cravalho, for another thrilling expedition.
In a public announcement on his social media profiles, Johnson gleefully reported the teaser trailer amassing an astonishing 178 million views just within a day of its release, setting a brand new record for any project from the house of Disney.
The fresh and exciting installment of the Moana series is earmarked for a November 27 release. Previously, the record belonged to the trailer for the animated movie ‘Inside Out 2’, which is set to hit the screens on June 14. The noteworthy achievement certainly sets high expectations for the film.
