In the recent update of his “What Happened When” podcast, Tony Schiavone, the renowned AEW broadcaster, discussed Jeff Jarrett’s ongoing storyline where his character has been making a gradual shift towards being a babyface.
Schiavone stated his belief that the folks at AEW seem to have discovered something quite exceptional with Jarrett’s current character development. He was quoted saying,
“I am uncertain about the destined path for Jeff Jarrett at the moment. However, I believe there’s a gem in what they’ve discovered so far. He holds a veteran’s reputation, and I am quite impressed by his presentation during the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament. I hope they continue capitalizing on his reputation which seems to be well received by everyone.”
In a media scrum after the post-ROH Death Before Dishonor event in 2024, Dustin Rhodes expressed appreciation for the effort his sibling, Cody Rhodes, has been putting in as the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion.
The highlights from the media interaction are detailed below:
Remarks on Cody’s performance: “Cody, my brother, makes me feel proud. His impressive contributions are commendable. It feels great being a part of AEW – the best work environment of my career. I thank Tony (Khan), along with every team member, for this. It’s a pleasant experience working with everyone here as they are all extremely kind and the ambiance is highly energizing.”
Commenting on the atmosphere at the Esports Stadium: “The invigorating atmosphere here motivates one to deliver their best performance, even when they think they’re out of energy. Like for me, the wave of positive energy from the excited, responsive and lively fans always manages to refuel my stamina. I appreciate the support for my brother and me, as we’re working hard to make a big impact in the wrestling world, like the Von Erichs and Rhodes.”
