Drew McIntyre Stares Down Big E After He Retains WWE Title In Hard-Fought Cage Match Against Bobby Lashley

The rivalry between WWE Champion Big E and Bobby Lashley continues to escalate.
Big E defended the title against Lashley to kick off this week’s episode of WWE RAW. But the surprising reunion of the Hurt Business caused the match to end in a wild brawl between the reformed trio and the New Day. WWE official Adam Pearce consequently booked a rematch for the main event, but this bout was a steel cage match in order to eliminate outside interference. But “The All Mighty” attacked Big E before he even got in the cage, so this stipulation didn’t come into play right away.

Eventually, the two powerhouses returned to the ring and waged war in the squared circle. Big E avoided the Hurt Lock, but Lashley dropped him with a forceful suplex. The champion went for an avalanche Big Ending, but Lashley locked in a dragon suplex that practically knocked Big E out.
Still, Big E persevered, but Cedric Alexander and Shelton Benjamin stopped him from escaping. Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods evened the odds by taking the fight to the Hurt Business associates.
Both men threw everything they had at each other for the next several minutes, and Lashley somehow kicked out of the Big Ending. Near the end of the bout, the two foes battled on the ropes, and Big E hit an avalanche Big Ending for the win.

After the match, former WWE Champion Drew McIntyre came to the stage and pointed his sword at Big E to strongly hint at his interest in the title.
