This week on WWE RAW, WWE Champion Randy Orton teamed up with The Miz and John Morrison to face Drew McIntyre and the WWE RAW Tag Team Champions, The New Day. Before the match, Adam Pearce announced that Orton will defend the WWE Championship against McIntyre next week on WWE RAW. In this six-man tag team matched, McIntyre and the New Day controlled the bout early on. Orton refused to tag into the match, so McIntyre’s team maintained their advantage.

Later in the match, Morrison and Miz isolated Xavier Woods and took control of the match. Eventually, Woods rallied and tagged McIntyre, who cleared house. The former WWE Champion set Morrison up for a Claymore, but he invited Orton to tag in. But “The Viper” refused to enter the match, and he opted to walk away. In the end, McIntyre pinned Morrison after a Claymore to win the match.
