Drew McIntyre took to TikTok on Thursday to react to CM Punk’s in-ring return on Tuesday, December 26 at the WWE Holiday Tour event at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

McIntyre said, “Punk’s first match in 10 years, and to be honest, you know he looked pretty good. I was watching through the curtain. It looked like fans were excited to see him. He looked pretty good in the ring against Dominik [Mysterio], who’s no slouch, but we’ll see how Punk does against a McIntyre or [Seth] Rollins. He seems to have forgot his gear. He was wrestling in undertights, so he looks pretty stupid. But yeah, looks like he hasn’t missed a step to be honest.”

Punk defeated Dominik Mysterio at the MSG event. McIntyre was also in action, losing to Seth Rollins in the main event for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

McIntyre will challenge Rollins for the title once again at WWE RAW: Day 1 on Monday, January 1, 2024, at the Pechanga Arena in San Diego, California.

On a recent edition of Konnan’s “Keepin’ It 100” podcast, WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio praised Seth Rollins for being willing to watch and critique matches for talents backstage.

Rey said, Overall, the evolution of the sport has changed dramatically. There is some ballbusting between the guys that get along in that way. Overall, there are certain talent that sits by the monitor and kind of views the matches as they are going along. There is respected criticism by that certain talent watching it. One of the guys that likes to sit down and critique matches is Seth Rollins. He’ll sit down, but if you come back from your match and ask Seth, especially if he was sitting down by the monitor, ‘What did you think of the match? What do you think I can do better?’ He would critique you in a good way and that would help you learn how to grow. Dominik is one of those guys, when he comes back, who gets critiqued by Seth because he always sees Seth by the monitor before he comes out and when he comes back. That’s good criticism.”
