Drew McIntyre Says Anyone Who Doesn’t Read The Dirtsheets Is A Liar, Rhea Ripley News

Drew McIntyre is preparing for an exciting rematch against Damian Priest at the 41st edition of WrestleMania. The rematch came about after Priest capitalized on his Money in the Bank opportunity to snatch the WWE World Heavyweight Title from McIntyre at the 40th WrestleMania. Despite beginning to take form after the Royal Rumble event, some fans felt disappointed and desired a larger platform for McIntyre given his exceptional performance in 2024.

McIntyre went on the “Getting Over” podcast recently, talking about fans’ support and addressing questions about his desire to be included in one of the top matches at WrestleMania 41. He commented,

“It’s impossible to ignore the internet. We’re in 2025, and anyone who denies being online is blatantly lying. I decided to take advantage of its considerable influence as a smart and rational individual. It’s an enormous asset. I’m thankful for the numerous fans who felt like I deserved a title shot and engaged in some daydream booking on my behalf. However, there are limited openings at the top of the card. I’m aware of the untold year-long narrative with Damian Priest that is finally starting to get some needed attention.”

During the latest WWE RAW, Rhea Ripley secured her spot in the WWE Women’s World Title match at WrestleMania 41, turning it into a Triple Threat, along with Bianca Belair and IYO SKY. This development came after Ripley lost her title to SKY in a match post Elimination Chamber: Toronto, where Belair’s cheering for SKY distracted Ripley. Belair won her shot at the title through the women’s Chamber event, pushing Ripley back into the title scene due to her anger with the situation.

Ripley spoke highly of IYO Sky in a recent Sports Illustrated interview with Zack Heydorn, stating,

“No one’s disregarding IYO. Her capabilities are well-known. I’ve never defeated her in a solo competition. Bianca and I have been talking about going head-to-head at WrestleMania for years. However, it would appear that our one-on-one wishful thinking will have to be put on hold due to Bianca’s decision to cheer on IYO during my title match which hit a sensitive nerve.”

She further added: “The narrative is heating up, and regardless of some online criticism, the truth is plain to see. I might seem to be focusing on Bianca in this match, but let’s not forget that she ruined my chances twice in the past. She craves attention and has taken it away from me when she knew how important these opportunities were to me. It’s going to be a fiery battle between three of the biggest female stars in WWE, and it’s bound to be an electrifying spectacle.”
